Novartis Biomedical Research

From January to August 2024, I worked as a co-op on the Custom Mechanical and Electrical Devices Team at Novartis Biomedical Research in Cambridge. This is a small team of 5 engineers that provide engineering support for the 3000+ scientists who work at the Novartis Cambridge campus. They serve as sort of an internal consulting firm, assisting any scientists that come to them with a wide array of problems. I enjoyed meeting with scientists, and helping them to bring they're visions to reality by designing, fabricating, and delivering solutions to them. I thoroughly enjoyed this role because I was able to really harness my creativity every single day, while challenging myself and learning a lot.

Please click the Favorite Projects Worked On dropdown to see some of the projects that I enjoyed the most while at Novartis. Additionally, there is a slide deck below with 10 additional projects that I worked on, that are also very interesting. For each project, I have described the problem and solution, along with the primary design considerations, fabrication techniques, and the result of my work.

Here is a slide deck that includes many more of the projects that I worked on at Novartis that did not make it into my favorites.
